TA15+ Marri (Red Gum) Honey

Bold, full-bodied and reliably good every season, Marri honey (TA15+) is the one in the range you can always count on being in stock.

SKU: GHHCMCC Categories: , ,

Marri honey comes from Corymbia calophylla — also known as redgum — one of the most widespread flowering trees in the southwest of Western Australia. Unlike some of its rarer relatives, Marri flowers most years, which makes it the most consistently available honey in this range without being any less distinctive for it.

With a TA15+ rating, Marri sits comfortably in the “active” honey range — a reliable, naturally antibacterial honey rather than the exceptionally high-strength grades reserved for Jarrah or Dwutta. It’s a good everyday option for anyone wanting a honey with genuine natural activity behind it, not just on the label.

In the jar it’s a deep amber, full-bodied and generously sweet, with rounded caramel notes and none of the sharper bitterness found in darker honeys. It’s an easy, versatile honey — on toast, through porridge, or simply by the spoonful.
