Multi-Floral

Multi-floral or wildflower honey, or in Italian, “Milleflori”— honey of thousand flowers is both the most common type of honey and also the rarest. Because it is composed of nectars from flowers blossoming at a particular period of time in a particular place, it is impossible to reproduce it exactly from year to year.

Often it has a predominant nectar or a particular mix of flora that gives it a recognizable flavor that is prized from year to year.

Multi-Floral honey has been found to have the largest overall concentration of vitamins. This is because each flower type has its own special benefits and when a hive of bees visits many different plants, the honey they create contains the benefits of all the flowers they have visited. So more flowers equals more benefits.
