Jarrah is an amber coloured honey with a full bodied malt flavour. Jarrah honey is darker, less sweet and more syrup like than many other honeys – it will also never crystalise like other raw honeys. It’s a natural healing honey that is highly prized – the Jarrah tree is rare and only has one flowering season once every two years so production is limited.
This honey has been independently lab tested – it has a Total Activity Rating (TA+) of 35+ – this means it has “strong antibacterial activity” (and is the highest rating given for raw honey in Australia). Jarrah honey also has a lower GI than other honeys and sugar.
