Bee pollen has become known as a superfood, bringing many health benefits to those who consume it.

Fresh frozen raw bee pollen has more available nutrients than dried pollen, and because it isn’t hardened from being dried, the body can more readily absorb the natural goodness without needing to be reconstituted.

Bee Pollen is a highly complex food, rich in amino acids, vitamins, minerals and enzymes.

Bee pollen has become known as a superfood, bringing many health benefits to those who consume it. A major positive factor of bee pollen is the fact that it can contribute to weight loss when weight gain is due consuming a poor nutrient diet. Fresh bee pollen is an excellent source of protein, especially for vegetarians or for those who fast. The complex composition of raw pollen makes it a complete natural food, with countless benefits to the human body.

To summarise, fresh bee pollen contains most of the nutrients the human body needs in order to survive.

Fresh frozen raw bee pollen has more available nutrients than dried pollen, and because it isn’t hardened from being dried, the body can more readily absorb the natural goodness without needing to be reconstituted.

How to use

It can be used as a topping for yoghurt or cereal, blended into smoothies, mixed into salad dressings and many other uses so long as it is not heated, which would damage some of the nutrients.

Storage

Keep Frozen.

Pollen may be frozen and defrosted without significant deterioration. This is due to its low water content.

To defrost, pour the equivalent of 6 tablespoons (enough for a 6 day supply) into a bowl in the refrigerator .

Repeat when you need more pollen. Unopened packages must be kept frozen (max.1 year). Shelf life in the refrigerator is 6 days.

Allergies

The portable pollen by air (anemophilous) is the one responsible for the “allergy to pollen” in most cases and not the pollen harvested by bees, which is entomophilous.

It is advisable to take just a few grains initially and then wait to see if you get a reaction. If you don’t, gradually increase the dosage until you are sure it is not negatively affecting you.

Transit

While in transit, the items may defrost. This is normal and will not harm the quality of the items.  Fresh items are safe to remain in transit for up to one week and can be used as normal once received.

As soon as you receive it, be sure to put it either into the fridge for immediate use or the freezer for later use.
